Are you happy?' the disembodied voice asks Eve one night; and the next day, that same question haunts this normally complacent wife of Adam as she packs his lunch. When she asks her only friend Stanthe quintessential salesman and card playerabout this question, his answers encourage her to think about life beyond her seemingly perfect garden.
