1 w, a Monologue
Mrs. Anna Warren appears at the Veterinarian's office with a large bundle wrapped in a blanket. As she explains to the invisible receptionist the circumstances of leaving her beloved 'Kitty' behind, she reveals a life as hard as the coal her father and husband have mined and as deep as the veins of strength that will help her survive the losses still to come.
